I can’t believe we’re halfway through 2015! Just 6 months remain and we will be ushering in 2016. I remember being excited about what 2015 had in store for me. I stayed true and dedicated to my passion for roller skating. I’m a constant work in progress. What’s that saying? “Slow and steady wins the race.” Well, I’ve been dedicated and consistent with my blog posts and I finally entered the Twitter and Instagram world (my handle is lacesandwheels). I really do have a lot of fun with Instagram and posting pictures ALL about the world of roller skating!
I had a few t-shirts printed for myself, my husband Jaron and my son Zion with my Laces and Wheels logo…and I must say they look pretty dope! I get a great response when I wear mine. I just wanted to see if they would cause some attention and guess what? They did. My plan is to have them available for purchase, so stay tuned for that update!
Anyone who truly knows me knows how passionate I am about roller skating. If you spend a little time around me, I guarantee you will walk away knowing that I live and breathe skating.
Earlier this month I was reading through my June issue of “More” magazine and I stumbled across a contest that was centered around women sharing their stories on how they have demonstrated…MORE Ambition, Beauty, Style and Passion in their lives. I read the description for each category and when I read the first few sentences in the MORE PASSION category—What makes you brim with More Passion. Tell us what gets you jazzed–and why? I knew I would try my hand at entering this contest and sharing my passion and motivation around roller skating. I figured, “Hell, what do I have to lose?… Absolutely nothing and everything to gain.”
I found myself uploading a photo — one with me wearing my roller skates of course!
I also submitted an essay on my passion for roller skating and it’s revitalization, completed my registration profile and now waiting to hear if I will be a finalist and/ or a WINNER! I will keep you guys posted.
With only 6 months left in 2015, that gives me enough time to continue to visualize and stay steadfast with my practice of the law of attraction and the law of intention. I will continue to demonstrate my faith, dedication and determination and watch my goals and dreams come to fruition. I believe this and so it is, and the question I have for you is, “Do you believe in yourself and your potential?” I want you to take time in this mid-year check-in and discover what it is you are truly passionate about and make steps in that direction and make it happen. Let’s all move upward and onward… and remember to roll bounce, baby!
