The world of roller skating

Happy “Rolling” New Year!

Happy 2015! Can you believe we just ushered in a new year and the month of January is almost over? Wow, time is really rolling along! I’m excited about what 2015 has in store for me, are you excited about what 2015 has in store for you?

Tamara speaking at the 2014 In-Ergize eventAs I look back on 2014, it was an exciting and gratifying year. I started my Laces and Wheels blog. I was also presented with an opportunity to be photographed and write an article for FitFigures Fitness Magazine. I discussed my passion for roller skating as well as the health benefits you can receive from this activity. In my last post, I mentioned an upcoming event I was going to participate in. It was called “In-Ergize” and it was a workshop that was held on November 15, 2014 in Charlotte, NC. I was one of 9 speakers and I was a storyteller who spoke on the theme of being “authentic.” I delivered my entire speech on my roller skates. That really took the audience by surprise! Needless to say they weren’t expecting a roller skating storyteller…LOL!

I shared my breast cancer story and how my cancer journey prompted me to re-prioritize my life toward being more “authentic” towards pursuing my passion around roller skating and stop self-sabotaging my thoughts and dreams and just go for it!

When you get a moment check out the link I’ve provided for you. You can watch me talk about being authentic, and watch me do it all on my rollerskates! I hope, after you watched my video, you will be inspired and encouraged to follow your passion. Whatever your passion is, I challenge you to be about it and do it—I know I am. The best is yet to come….roll bounce, baby!
